TYB Golf Club Unveils New Caddy Shed in Abuja

On Monday, the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort and Country Club (TYB-IGRCC) in Abuja commissioned a new caddy shed designed to improve the accommodation and welfare of caddies serving its members and guests. The state-of-the-art facility features bathrooms, toilets, and canteen amenities.

Dr. Ali Peters, Vice Captain of TYB-IGRCC, represented the club’s Captain, Brig.-Gen. Nicholas Ashinze, during the commissioning ceremony. Peters emphasized the importance of caddies to the club's operations and expressed gratitude to various patrons, including Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, and Maj Gen Valentine Okoro, for their support in developing the facility.

Maj.-Gen. Godwin Umelo (rtd.), who commissioned the shed, urged caddies to take ownership of the facility and maintain it. The commissioning was attended by club members, officials, caddies, and guests, marking a significant step in enhancing the welfare and working conditions of caddies at TYB-IGRCC.
