UNILORIN Achieves Record 16 First-Class Law Graduates

The University of Ilorin has made a notable academic achievement by producing 16 first-class graduates at the recent bar finals conducted by the Nigerian Law School. This accomplishment represents the highest number of first-class graduates recorded by the university's Faculty of Law, surpassing the previous record of 10 first-class graduates in 2023.

Kunle Akogun, the Director of Corporate Affairs at the university, disclosed this information in a statement issued to journalists in Ilorin on Thursday. The university also had 58 graduates earn second-class upper division in the same examination.

Vice Chancellor Wahab Egbewole attributed this success to sustained improvements in academic delivery and the leadership's commitment to enhancing teaching and learning standards. Egbewole emphasized that this achievement is a significant milestone not only for the Faculty of Law but for the university as a whole, expressing confidence in the faculty's ability to maintain its record of excellence in legal education in Nigeria.
