Unilorin Student Elected New NANS Kwara Chairman

Yusuf Abdulqodri Eleburuk, a 300-level student from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ilorin, was elected as the new chairman of the Joint Campus Committee (JCC) of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in Kwara State. The election took place during the JCC convention held on Tuesday, where 22 accredited senators from various tertiary institutions across the state participated.

Eleburuk secured 12 votes, defeating his closest contender, Solihu Ismail Aloba, who received 9 votes. One vote was declared void.

The convention was affirmed to have conducted the electoral process credibly, peacefully, and transparently, in line with established guidelines. Eleburuk expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the contributions of his opponent, Aloba, for a competitive and mature electoral process.

He pledged to provide leadership that focuses on unity and the welfare of students, calling for cooperation among stakeholders to strengthen representation and promote collective interests across Kwara State's tertiary institutions.
