In its post, the embassy stated, “Beware of misinformation. Save yourself the hassle & just ask us directly.” It also invited Nigerians to share claims they have encountered from visa agents, promising to address these in future posts.

The embassy's warning comes in response to the spread of misleading information about visa applications and procedures, urging Nigerians to verify such information through official channels to prevent unnecessary costs, confusion, and potential fraud.
