Balami Returns to APC, Cites Tinubu's Governance Changes

Isaac Balami, who served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign, has rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after initially leaving the party in 2022. He stated that his return was influenced by his belief that President Bola Tinubu has addressed the issues that led him to depart, including concerns over the APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket and the marginalization of minority ethnic groups.

Balami criticized the Labour Party for its lack of direction and internal leadership crisis, which he believes hindered its ability to secure votes during the 2023 presidential election. He acknowledged the economic challenges facing Nigerians but expressed confidence that Tinubu's reforms, such as the removal of fuel subsidy and the implementation of local government autonomy, would yield long-term benefits.

Balami emphasized that his decision to return to the APC was not driven by personal ambition but rather a recognition of the positive changes under Tinubu's administration.
