Wike's PDP Faction Disowns Jonathan's Ratification Plans

Nyesom Wike, a prominent member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has publicly disowned the plans to ratify former President Goodluck Jonathan as the party's presidential candidate. Wike's faction, led by Tanimu Turaki, issued a warning to owners of event centers in Abuja, threatening to revoke their titles if they allow unauthorized political gatherings.

The faction emphasized that any convention to endorse Jonathan would not be recognized by the PDP's legitimate leadership. They urged the public to disregard misleading information regarding the ratification process.

Wike's faction also called on relevant security agencies to investigate the sources of false reports that could incite political tension. The scheduled event for Jonathan's ratification is set for Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Class Event Center in Wuse 2, Abuja.
