Windstorm Devastates Kebbi Communities, Displaces Families

A severe windstorm struck the Suru Local Government Area in Kebbi State on Wednesday night, causing extensive damage to houses and food storage facilities, with losses amounting to millions of naira. Affected communities include Sambera, Jeroki, Becinga, Nassarawa, Tunga Soja, Tauken, Mage, Tunga Muminu, Oro, Ciwan, and Wanzam.

The storm resulted in widespread destruction, leaving many families displaced and homes completely blown off. Fortunately, no lives were lost during the incident.

Faruku Abubakar Maisudan, a member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, visited the affected areas to assess the extent of the damage and sympathize with the victims. He urged residents to accept the trial from Almighty Allah during this difficult time.

Maisudan assured the victims that the matter would be tabled in the assembly, and Governor Nasir Idris would ensure urgent government intervention. The Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) accompanied the lawmaker on the assessment tour and pledged a swift response to provide relief materials to the affected residents.
