NDC Aspirant Warns Against Withholding Primary Results

Hon. Onu Igw Nwankwo, an aspirant for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), issued a warning regarding the withholding of primary election results, which he claims could threaten the party's credibility.

The NDC's primary elections were conducted on May 29 across three local government areas: Ohaozara, Onicha, and Ivo. Nwankwo alleged that despite reports of disruptions during the voting process, the results were not publicly announced.

He stated that he possesses video evidence and documentation of the election process, expressing concern over the failure to declare results, which he described as a threat to transparency and due process. Nwankwo indicated that he would challenge any discrepancies in the results through legal channels and called on the NDC's electoral appeal committee to ensure transparency in the vote collation.

He urged the party to suspend the submission of candidates' names to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) until the results are properly announced. Nwankwo reaffirmed his loyalty to the NDC and appealed for calm among constituents.
