Mama Pee Warns Tyla Over Nigeria Concert Amid Xenophobia

Oruche Ogeamara Precious, known as Mama Pee, issued a warning to South African singer Tyla regarding her scheduled concert in Lagos on December 22 as part of her APOP World Tour. The warning came after Tyla did not condemn the xenophobic attacks and killings of Nigerians in South Africa, which have escalated since April 2026.

Mama Pee criticized Tyla's silence on these issues, stating that it is unacceptable for her to perform in Nigeria while Nigerians suffer from violence in South Africa. In her Instagram post, Mama Pee expressed outrage over the ongoing attacks, including the recent strangulation of a young man by police in South Africa, and urged Tyla to remain in her "human hunting country." She emphasized that Nigerians' feelings are valid and called for solidarity among Nigerians against the injustices faced by their compatriots abroad.
