Wike Critiques ADC, Emphasizes Electoral Success for Opposition

Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, addressed the People's Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja on Friday, asserting that parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC) cannot claim to be in opposition without having won elections. He emphasized that true opposition is defined by electoral success rather than forming alliances and making loud claims.

Wike pledged loyalty to the PDP and expressed commitment to working towards the party's recovery from its recent difficulties. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the PDP but urged the leadership to focus on reconciliation, particularly with members who have left the party.

Wike warned against distractions, including ongoing court cases, and expressed confidence that the PDP would overcome its legal challenges and emerge stronger and more united.
