APC Addresses Replaced Candidates on Future Opportunities

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has communicated to candidates whose names were replaced during the electoral candidacy process that they may find better opportunities if the party succeeds. Malam Bala Ibrahim, the APC's Director of Publicity, confirmed that the party has submitted names for various electoral positions to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He mentioned that the party screened 2,500 aspirants and that the issuance of certificates to successful candidates is underway. Ibrahim noted that replacing candidates is not unusual and is part of correcting any discrepancies.

A reconciliation committee has been established to engage with affected aspirants to foster understanding and maintain democratic principles. Despite some members expressing dissatisfaction and describing the treatment as unfair, Ibrahim expressed optimism that those unhappy with the outcomes would continue to contribute to the party's success.
