Zulum Donates N150m to Families of Fallen Military Heroes

On Wednesday, Governor Zulum of Borno State announced the presentation of N150 million to the families of fallen military heroes who lost their lives during counter-insurgency operations. This support includes N50 million each for the families of Lt.

Col. Umar Farouq, Lt.

Col. Salihu Iliyas, and Lt.

Col. Aliyu Saidu Paiko.

The governor's spokesman, Dauda Iliya, stated that this initiative is part of Zulum's sustained support for the families of personnel engaged in military operations. During his visit, Zulum expressed condolences and paid tribute to the service and sacrifice of the deceased officers.

He also announced plans to visit the families of other military personnel who have been killed or are missing in action. The governor emphasized his administration's commitment to standing by the families of those who have paid the ultimate price in defense of the nation.
