Seyi Makinde Promises Security Reforms for Nigeria's Future

Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and the governor of Oyo State, committed to tackling Nigeria's insecurity and various national challenges during a North Central Town Hall engagement meeting in Lafia. He emphasized his intention to implement a new security architecture, enhance education, and reset the economy using data science and logic if elected.

Makinde criticized the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for its poor economic policies, which he claims have caused significant hardship for Nigerians. He proposed a transitional government of national unity aimed at introducing new players and agendas for sustainable development in Nigeria.

Makinde urged Nigerians to support APM in the upcoming elections, asserting that the country needs leaders with genuine intentions and determination. Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, the National Chairman of APM, echoed Makinde's sentiments, stating that the party is gaining traction as more Nigerians join ahead of the 2027 general elections.
