ADC and NDC Address Delay in Campaign Council Announcements

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) have clarified the reasons for the delay in unveiling their presidential campaign councils. ADC National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi stated that the party is consulting relevant stakeholders regarding the composition of its campaign council and dismissed claims of financial constraints.

He noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has not set a deadline for political parties to form their campaign teams, emphasizing that the presidential election is still several months away. Similarly, NDC National Publicity Secretary Osa Director refuted allegations of financial difficulties, asserting that the party is not obligated to match the All Progressives Congress's (APC) timeline.

Both parties expressed confidence in their ability to announce their campaign councils when ready, without succumbing to external pressures or speculation regarding their funding.
