Court Orders NDLEA to Produce KC Luxury in Lagos

Justice Friday Ogazi of the Federal High Court in Lagos has mandated the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to produce Kazeem Afolabi, popularly known as “KC Luxury,” in court after his alleged 14-day detention without formal charges. This order was issued on Thursday in response to an ex parte application filed by Afolabi through his counsel, A.

Labi-Lawal, SAN, under the Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules 2009. Afolabi was reportedly arrested by NDLEA operatives on August 13, 2026, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport while preparing to travel to Paris.

His father, Eric Afolabi, stated in an affidavit that Kazeem has been held without being informed of any charges. The court has instructed the NDLEA to respond within five days and produce Afolabi for the next hearing on September 9, 2026.

Afolabi's application seeks to declare his detention unconstitutional and requests his immediate release or bail pending any charges.
