Taraba Governor Agbu Kefas Reshuffles Cabinet Positions

On August 26, 2026, Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas announced a cabinet reshuffle involving the immediate redeployment of four commissioners. The announcement was made through a press release signed by Chief Gebon Kataps, the Secretary to the State Government, and shared with journalists in Jalingo.

Under the new arrangement, Peter George, previously the Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs. Daniel Ishaku, who served as the Commissioner for Water Management and Aquatic Affairs, has been moved to the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation.

Bernard Shonzen James Kassa, formerly the Commissioner for Waste Management and Resource Innovation, will now oversee the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services. Lastly, Philip Habu James, who was the Commissioner for Social Development and Human Services, has been appointed as the new Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry.
