Enugu West PDP Rejects Amadi's Nomination, Demands Chairmanship

Stakeholders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu West have formally rejected the nomination of Hon. Denni Amadi as the party's senatorial candidate.

They assert that no valid primary elections were conducted in the zone, which should have produced a legitimate candidate. The stakeholders convened a meeting attended by party leaders, former political office holders, and youth leaders from five local government areas within the zone.

They issued a communiqué signed by Enugu West zonal chairman Martin Emenik, zonal secretary Okei Ozoani, and state treasurer Nnamdi Onyia, demanding the return of the PDP state chairmanship to Enugu West. The communiqué emphasized the need for the National Working Committee (NWC) to restore the party's position in the zone without delay, aiming to ensure justice and unity within the party.

Additionally, they condemned the suspension of Dr. Nick Ozonsi, describing it as a calculated attempt to frustrate party members ahead of the senatorial nomination process.
