Enugu West PDP Rejects Amadi's Nomination as Senator

Stakeholders of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu West have formally rejected the nomination of Hon. Denni Amadi as the party's senatorial candidate.

They assert that no valid primary elections were conducted in the zone to legitimize Amadi's nomination. The stakeholders convened a meeting attended by party leaders, former political office holders, and youth leaders from five local government areas, where they issued a communiqué signed by Enugu West zonal chairman Martin Emenik, zonal secretary Okei Ozoani, and state treasurer Nnamdi Onyia.

The communiqué demands the return of the PDP state chairmanship to Enugu West, in line with the party's zoning principles. They condemned the suspension of Dr.

Nick Ozonsi, describing it as a calculated attempt to frustrate party members ahead of the senatorial nomination process. The stakeholders called on the National Working Committee (NWC) to ensure a credible primary election process to restore confidence in the party's internal processes and strengthen unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
