GIDI Company Launches Social Housing for Vulnerable Women

The GIDI Company commenced a social housing project on September 8, 2026, targeting vulnerable and displaced women, including widows. This initiative aims to provide free and dignified accommodation as part of the company's broader Building Africa agenda.

The first phase will offer safe housing at no cost, with beneficiary identification supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. The GIDI Social Housing Initiative is designed as a sustainable model, channeling a percentage of profits from qualifying property transactions towards social housing.

This approach allows GIDI's commercial real estate activities to directly address housing needs among vulnerable populations. The company plans to expand the initiative through additional funding and partnerships, reflecting its view of real estate as a means to tackle social challenges.

GIDI expressed optimism that this model could provide a private-sector solution to Africa's housing issues by linking commercial growth with social impact.
