Funke Akindele Fakes Bravery for Son on Disneyland Ride

Nigerian actress Funke Akindele recounted a nerve-wracking experience at Disneyland with her son Zion, where she had to mask her own fear to keep him calm during a scary ride. In a video posted on Instagram on August 27, 2026, Akindele explained that both she and Zion were apprehensive about the drop ride, but their father encouraged them to participate.

During the ride, Zion panicked after a sudden drop, prompting Akindele to shout words of encouragement to him while concealing her own terror. She admitted, "I was just pretending; even I was about to die, but I had to be strong for Zion." After the ride, she felt so overwhelmed that she sat down and decided she was done for the day, while others queued for another ride.
