Bauchi Governor Declares Zero Tolerance for Violence

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State announced a zero tolerance stance against violent crimes during a condolence visit to the family of Rilwanu Dauda, who was fatally stabbed by political thugs in the Karofin Madaki area of Bauchi Metropolis. The incident occurred during a dispute over campaign posters on Sunday, leading to Dauda's tragic death.

Governor Mohammed condemned the killing and assured that anyone found culpable would face the full weight of the law. He called on citizens to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies.

The governor was accompanied by top government officials and stakeholders during the visit, where he expressed condolences and offered prayers for the deceased. Yakubu Adamu, a gubernatorial candidate from the All Peoples Movement, also visited the bereaved family, condemning the incident and calling for accountability from the authorities.

The governor emphasized ongoing efforts to combat insecurity and protect citizens in both rural and urban areas.
