Concert for Change Foundation Aims to Raise N500M for Disabled Children
The Concert for Change Foundation has set a fundraising target of N500 million to support vulnerable children, orphans, and charities serving children with disabilities in Nigeria through the Green Worship 9.0 benefit concert. This event is scheduled for October 10 at the MUSON Centre in Lagos.
The target is significantly higher than the N210 million raised since the foundation's inception in 2006. Wale Adenuga, Founder and Managing Trustee of Green Worship, stated that six charities will benefit from this year's fundraising, including OAKonsult Disabilities Outreach and Irede Foundation.
The funds will address needs such as specialized education, rehabilitation, and prosthetic limbs. Previous concerts have supported 49 charities and reached over 8,000 children.
Crystal Chigbu from Irede Foundation noted that past funding helped provide prosthetic limbs to children. The campaign will rely on contributions from various sources, with Kunle Popoola urging support for the initiative.
