Ekiti's Dr. Femi Owolabi Advocates Youth Political Engagement

During a town hall meeting in Ado Ekiti, Dr. Femi Owolabi, the Special Adviser to the Ekiti State Governor on Research and Documentation, cautioned politicians against treating Nigerian youths as mere visitors in the political process. He delivered a keynote address titled “Leaving No One Behind,” advocating for greater involvement of young people in politics.

Owolabi stressed the importance of not only voting but also active participation, urging youths to take ownership of their priorities and engage their communities. He called for a shift from structure to action and emphasized grassroots mobilization.

Asiwaju Oluwafemi Kasali, the CBN Coordinator in Ekiti State, outlined a strategy for voter mobilization targeting 2,445 polling units, aiming to engage undecided voters and newly registered eligible voters. He reminded executives that their new roles come with responsibilities to serve and contribute to the movement's growth.
