FAAN Issues Scam Alert Over Fake Employment Letters

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has alerted the public about a fraudulent "Letter of Provisional Offer of Employment" being disseminated by unknown individuals falsely claiming to represent the authority. In a statement shared via its official X account @FAAN_Official, FAAN emphasized that these letters are fraudulent and that the organization is not conducting any recruitment exercises at this time.

The authority advised the public against making any payments, sharing personal information, or engaging with those presenting these fake offers. FAAN urged job seekers to remain vigilant and verify any information purportedly from the authority before taking action.

They reiterated that any legitimate recruitment activities would be announced exclusively through FAAN's official communication channels. Job seekers are cautioned to treat unsolicited employment offers with skepticism, especially those requesting upfront payments or sensitive personal details, as legitimate government agencies do not charge fees during recruitment.

Individuals who have received such letters are encouraged to report the matter to the appropriate authorities.
