Borno Commissioner Threatens Flogging for APC Non-Supporters

Sainna Buba, the Borno State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, issued a warning that individuals who refuse to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general election will be flogged. This statement was made during the inauguration of a campaign organized by the Tinubu City Boy Movement, a political support group advocating for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.

Buba emphasized that supporters of the APC would reap benefits from the government, while those who oppose the party would face repercussions. He mentioned that while the current approach is persuasive, they are prepared to use force if necessary.

His remarks followed a similar warning from Samuel Shekwolo, the chairman of Kuje Area Council, who told residents that those not supporting the APC should leave the council, linking his comments to developmental projects by Tinubu and Minister Nyesom Wike.
