Kano Governor Abba Yusuf Calls for 2031 Presidential Wait

On September 28, 2026, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State called for northern presidential candidates to defer their ambitions until 2031. Speaking at the Government House in Kano, he advocated for the ongoing rotation of Nigeria's presidency between the North and South.
